AN/VRC-100(V)1, AN/VRC-100(V)4 Advanced High Frequency Ground/Transportable Communications System

822-0793-001, 822-0793-003

Overview

The Rockwell Collins AN/VRC-100 Advanced HF Ground/Transportable Communications System offers aviation commanders enhanced situational awareness for ground support of AN/ARC-220 equipped aircraft – at a low cost. Easy to operate and multifunctional, the AN/VRC-100 is a fully digital signal processing high-frequency radio that provides two-way communication over the 2.0000 to 29.9999 MHz high-frequency range. With advanced communications features that include embedded Automatic Link Establishment (ALE), Serial Tone Data Modem and Anti-jam functions (ECCM), it can be used for a variety of ground or mobile applications.

Reliable digital connectivity and enhanced voice communications of the AN/VRC-100 come in a fully integrated plug-and-play communications system, configured in a portable case. The AN/VRC-100 and AN/ARC-220 were specifically designed for use with external COMSEC equipment such as the KY-100, to allow for seamless, secure digital voice and data operation.
